It is worth to add that an access to the PhysioEx 10.0. is available only on computers covered by the University Network. The accces is limited by the scope of IP numbers.
We encourage all members of the academic community to use this tool.
PhysioEx 10 Laboratory Simulations in Physiology is a software for learning modern physiology, which provides 12 exercises comprising 63 easy-to-use lab simulations that complement or replace classes in „wet labs” (experimental) and experiments that are expensive or too time consuming to perform in the classroom. Simulations are available without special hardware requirements. Among the 12 topics of the exercises can be identified, among others, skeletal muscle physiology, neurophysiology of nerve impulses, cell transport mechanisms and permeability, cardiovascular physiology and blood analysis.
The Programme was created by Pearson, a British publishing and education multinational company, which is one of the largest education companies in the world. This guarantees stability and a high level of content of the software, which allows students to repeat the simulation as often as necessary. The software allows to perform experiments without harming live animals and violating safety issues.
An innovative method of teaching Physiology through medical simulations can positively influence the results of colloquia and exams passed by foreign and Polish students who will use the programme during exercise classes in Physiology, under the guidance of qualified academic staff.
MUB focuses on an innovative approach to teaching and research. The University is working on creating a Teaching Excellence Strategy for the years 2023-2030.
The purchase was made under the project entitled „e-Window to the world. Providing access to prestigious e-journals and English-language educational platforms” which in May 2023 received funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.

The project is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange within the framework of the Welcome to Poland Programme (2022).
