UMB has purchased access to PhysioEx 10.0, an application for learning physiology

The International Cooperation Department would like to inform you that, in response to the reported need, the Medical University of Białystok has purchased 12-month access to the PhysioEx 10.0 Program (from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2026).

Access to Physioex is available to all users of the university network via the link below. [LINK]

We encourage all members of the academic community to use this tool.

PhysioEx 10 Laboratory Simulations in Physiology is modern physiology learning software that provides 12 exercises covering 63 easy-to-use laboratory simulations that supplement or replace classes in “wet labs” (experimental) and experiments that are expensive or too time-consuming to perform in the classroom. The simulations are available without any special hardware requirements. The 12 exercise topics include skeletal muscle physiology, neurophysiology of nerve impulses, cell transport mechanisms and permeability, cardiovascular physiology, and blood analysis.

The program was created by Pearson, a British international publishing and education company, which is one of the largest education companies in the world. This guarantees the stability and high quality of the software, which allows students to repeat simulations as often as necessary. The software allows experiments to be carried out without harming live animals or compromising safety.

This innovative method of teaching physiology through medical simulations can have a positive impact on the results of tests and exams taken by foreign and Polish students who will use the program during physiology classes under the guidance of qualified academic staff.

A Polish-language version is also available as an ebook as part of the subscription. You can find it at this link

The purchase was made as part of the project entitled “The world at your fingertips. Access to global educational platforms and tools.”
